Legislative Assembly of British Columbia overlooks the Inner Harbour. The seat of British Columbia's parliament, the buildings have elaborately carved facades and are surrounded by 5 hectares (12 acres) of lawns, gardens, fountains and statues of dignitaries. The rooms have mosaic tile floors, rotundas, stained-glass windows, woodcarvings and murals.

Guided 30- to 45-minute tours, conducted in several languages, are offered. Self-guiding tours also are available weekdays; a booklet can be picked up at the tour desk.

Food and drink are not permitted inside the Legislative Assembly. Visitors must pass through a security screening area with metal detectors.
