AAA Editor Notes
Science World, 1455 Quebec St., is housed in a geodesic dome and features hands-on exhibits and demonstrations that explain science and nature. Water, air and motion are some of the physical sciences explored in the Eureka! Gallery. The Wonder Gallery is geared toward young learners ages 0-5. Live, zany science demonstrations with audience participation take place daily in the Peter Brown Family Centre Stage. Watch films in the OMNIMAX Theatre, which projects nature and science films onto a dome screen that's 5 stories high and 27 metres (88 ft.) in diameter; or take a seat in the high-definition Science Theatre, which offers films and live shows.
Human performance and nature are the subjects of additional galleries. Learn about sustainable communities in Our World: BMO Sustainability Gallery, explore human life sciences in BodyWorks and discover the wonders of nature in Search: Sara Stern Gallery. A seasonal outdoor gallery lets visitors plant seeds and gather eggs from chickens.
Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
