Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site

Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is at 5180 Westwater Dr. at the foot of Railway Ave. The site contains 10 buildings that were once part of a late 1880s fishing village which included canneries, boatyards and homes. Four buildings are open for touring; visitors can view displays about maritime history and watch as old wooden boats are restored.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
