Alberni Valley Museum

Alberni Valley Museum is at 4255 Wallace St. in the Echo Centre building. The community museum features collections relating to First Nations as well as community and industrial history. Feature exhibits include Nuu chah nulth basketry, folk art and textiles.

Visitors also can see displays about the area's industrial past in logging, fishing, mining and farming. An exhibit about the West Coast Trail tells of its early uses as a telegraph line and a rescue trail for shipwrecked sailors. Changing exhibitions also are offered.
