Nanaimo Museum is at 100 Museum Way on the second floor of the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Nanaimo's history is explored through exhibits depicting life for the city's earliest settlers, its days as a 19th-century mining center and its transition into the 21st century. Visitors can discover stories about the Snunéymuxw First Nation and check out a replica coal mine to feel what it was like to be an underground miner.
