Zuckerberg Island Heritage Park

Zuckerberg Island Heritage Park is at 7th Ave. and 9th St. A suspension bridge leads to the island at the confluence of the Columbia and Kootenay rivers. Walking tours offers such sights as a First Nation Kekuli or pit house, a cemetery, a log house, a sculpture of a seated woman carved from a tree stump and the Chapel House with its Russian Orthodox onion dome. The Castlegar Station Museum is in a restored 19th-century Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) station.
