La Bufadora (The Buffalo Snort) is about 32 km (20 mi.) s.w. of downtown Ensenada. Take Mex. 1 s. to the jct. with BC 23, which branches w. just n. of Maneadero. The two-lane road, offering spectacular views of Bahía Todos Santos and the Pacific, winds past olive orchards, cultivated fields, trailer parks and the private Baja Beach and Tennis Club before ending at a paved parking lot near the western tip of the Punta Banda Peninsula.
From the parking lot it's a short walk to a viewing area where you can observe a hollow rock formation that acts as a natural sea spout. During incoming tides, water rushes into an underground cavern, sending spray shooting into the air like a geyser. Snack vendors congregate along the path to the blowhole, and there are curio shops where you can browse for souvenirs, but the main attraction is the dramatic mountain scenery en route.
