AAA Editor Notes
Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site is at 2120 W. Daisy L. Gatson Bates Dr. In 1957, while Little Rock schools were in the process of being desegregated by the "Little Rock Nine" African American students, Central High was the scene for events considered pivotal in national Civil Rights history. Central is an operating high school. Visitors should park and begin their visit at the National Park Service visitor center that features interactive exhibits. A commemorative garden also is on-site.

Guided tours are available at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and require reservations.
