Pima Air and Space Museum is at 6000 E. Valencia Rd.; from I-10 take exit 267. Displayed are 300 aircraft, including Air Force One used by Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Additional aircraft in five hangars and along pathways include a replica 1903 Wright Flyer and a SR-71 Blackbird. Three hangars are dedicated to World War II. One-hour tram tours of the 80-acre facility are available, as are 75-minute bus tours of the Aircraft Boneyard/Aircraft Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) facility on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base which features more than 4,400 U.S. military aircraft on 2,600 acres.
Note: Government-issued photo ID is required to enter the base, and visitors are not permitted to leave the bus.
