V-Bar-V Ranch Petroglyph Site, 3 mi. e. off I-17 exit 298, following signs, contains 13 panels with more than 1,000 petroglyphs representing the Beaver Creek style of rock art. It is believed that the images of snakes, turtles, coyotes, stick-figured humans and palmlike trees were chiseled into the rock walls by members of the Ancestral Puebloan people referred to as the Sinagua.
