Fish Creek Canyon

Fish Creek Canyon is approximately 25 mi. n.e. of Apache Junction on the Apache Trail. The canyon is noted for massive, vividly colored walls rising as much as 2,000 feet above the highway. Formed by Fish Creek, which runs from the center of the Superstition Mountains northwest towards the Salt River, the canyon floor is lush with saguaro cacti, trees, bushes, reeds and waterfalls.
