Saamis Teepee

Saamis Teepee is at jct. Hwy. 1 and South Ridge Dr. Made of steel, the tipi stands about 20 stories high. Storyboards incorporated in the tipi stand 3.6 metres (12 ft.) high and depict First Nations history. Used during the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, the tipi was moved to Medicine Hat where it now stands above the Saamis Archaeological Site—the location of a 16th-century buffalo camp.
