Lake Louise Summer Gondola and Wildlife Interpretive Centre

Lake Louise Summer Gondola and Wildlife Interpretive Centre is just n. of Hwy. 1 interchange at Lake Louise Ski Resort, 1 Whitehorn Rd. Fully enclosed gondolas and open-air chairs take 14 minutes to ascend to a height of 2,101 metres (6,893 ft.), offering an impressive aerial view of Lake Louise and the mountains of the Continental Divide. Grizzly bears and other wildlife may be seen.

An interpretive center at the top presents a brief visitor orientation session; interpretive programs, including guided hikes, are available for an additional fee. Ride and dine packages also are offered. A free shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and the Samson Mall on a first-come, first-served basis.
