Banff Gondola

Banff Gondola is at 1 Mountain Ave. An enclosed gondola journeys along the eastern slope of Sulphur Mountain. The lift rises 698 metres (2,290 ft.) from the 1,583-metre (5,194 ft.) level to the 2,281-metre (7,484 ft.) summit ridge in 8 minutes. The Summit Complex includes observation decks offering stunning panoramic views, an interpretive center with natural and cultural history exhibits and a multisensory theater that treats audiences to a thrilling flight over the surrounding mountains by simulating an eagle’s point of view. A boardwalk affords more 360-degree vistas and leads to a historic cosmic ray station and weather observatory.
