Maxine & Jesse Whitney Museum

Maxine & Jesse Whitney Museum is on the grounds of Prince William Sound College at 303 Lowe St. The museum's collection of Alaskan native art, artifacts, beadwork, dolls and furs comprises one of the largest of its kind. Its pieces were collected over more than 50 years of travel to Alaskan villages by Jesse Whitney and wife Maxine after the couple moved to Alaska in 1947. The Paul Kulik History of Transportation Collection features to-scale vehicle models made of Eskimo ivory and that interpret the state's aviation history.
