Kodiak Laboratory Aquarium & Touch Tank

Kodiak Laboratory Aquarium & Touch Tank is at the Kodiak Fisheries Research Center at 301 Research Ct. The 3,500-gallon aquarium displays specimens collected from Kodiak Island's waters, including crabs, mollusks and other invertebrates as well as such echinoderms as urchins, sea cucumbers and starfish. A giant Pacific octopus also can be seen while a touch tank allows visitors to interact with selected intertidal organisms.
