Saxman Native Village

Saxman Native Village, 2.5 mi. s. on S. Tongass Hwy., is a Tlingit (KLINK-it) Indian village of about 450 residents. The totem park contains 30 totem poles, and master carvers can be seen at work in the carving center. A 2-hour guided tour also includes the Beaver Tribal House and Cape Fox Dancers performances.
