Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Arts

Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Arts is off I-85 exit 51, then 2 mi. n. on US 29/SR 147 to 901 S. College St., on the Auburn University campus. American and European art from the 19th- and 20th centuries is displayed in eight galleries. The permanent collection includes works by Marc Chagall, Salvador Dalí, Henri Matisse, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Traveling exhibits also are featured. The modernistic building is on manicured grounds.
