Botanical Garden of the University of Puerto Rico (El Jardín Botánico)

Botanical Garden of the University of Puerto Rico (El Jardín Botánico) is at jct. Hwy. 847 and Hwy. 1 at the entrance to Barrio Venezuela in Río Piedras. The 289-acre (117-hectare) garden of the University of Puerto Rico features native and tropical flora, including aquatic and herb gardens and areas devoted to heliconia, bamboo, orchids and palms. The Sculpture Garden features works of art by Leopoldo Maler, Carlos Guzmán and Rolando López Dirube.
