Toro Negro State Forest (Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro)

Toro Negro State Forest (Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro) is 17 mi. (27 km) n.e. via rtes. 10 and 143. This scenic reserve contains the island's tallest peak, Cerro de Punta, and its highest reservoir, the bamboo-fringed Lake Guineo. Coffee plantations once dotted the mountain's lower elevations. The forest offers hiking trails, an observation tower and picnic, swimming and camping facilities at the Doña Juana Recreational Area.

Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
