Old Ponce Fire Station (Parque de Bombas)

Old Ponce Fire Station (Parque de Bombas) is on Plaza de las Delicias behind the cathedral. Built as the main pavilion for the 1882 Exhibition Trade Fair, this Moorish building with bold red and black stripes is one of the most photographed features on the island. Now a museum, the building houses an antique fire engine and historical exhibits dedicated to Ponce's volunteer fire brigade.
