Andromeda Botanic Gardens

Andromeda Botanic Gardens, .2 mi. (.3 km) off Hwy. 3 following signs, clings to a rocky hillside overlooking the Atlantic coastline. Founded in 1954 by world-renowned horticulturist Iris Bannochie, Andromeda’s lush gardens span 6.5 acres and host a collection containing some 650 species from the Caribbean, tropical Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Visitors wind their way past flowering trees, palms and orchids, enjoying sea breezes in a tranquil setting.
