Haines Highway (PR 3) makes its way through forests of white spruce, alder and poplar; the alpine ranges of the St. Elias Mountains dominate the background. Pullouts at aquamarine lakes Kathleen and Dezadeash allow for jaw-dropping views of 8,000-foot peaks in the distance. Mountain goats, Dall sheep, moose and black bears make their homes in this serene wilderness.
