A beautiful rural portrait unfolds along PR 9/PR 247, which highlights the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley. The route is bordered by seemingly endless fields of wheat and canola and follows the Qu'Appelle River. The waterway flows into several lakes, including Round Lake, which is popular with anglers. The byway also passes another recreational haven, Crooked Lake.
