Brilliant sapphire lakes are the jewels of this section of the Klondike Highway (PR 2). Targish and Nares lakes reflect the granite giants that surround them as the byway rides the ridge above offering spectacular, panoramic views. Evergreens provide an emerald bed from which the slate-gray inclines climb to pearlescent snowy peaks.
