The summit of Haines Highway (PR 3) is a popular snowmobiling spot in winter. In spring, purple wildflowers complement the landscape palette of aqua lakes and creeks, green ground cover and slate-gray mountains. On a clear day, the sharp, snowcapped summit of the St. Elias Mountains crowns the alpine valley with a ring of diamond-ice peaks.
