Small rice and sugar cane farms grow amid the plentiful streams and waterways. Henderson Lake in St. Martin Parish is easily accessible from the road and boasts excellent largemouth bass fishing. Or you may watch for alligators in the dense swamp for a true Louisiana nature encounter.
