There’s a reason that Kentucky is called “The Bluegrass State,” and one can see why traveling the Paris Pike Scenic Highway. The ground is covered with the jade-colored grass—sometimes with a bluish-purple tint in spring. It’s not only scenic but also sustenance for the thoroughbred horses grazing in the pastures along the route.
