The byway, SR 13/SR 77, is a mostly straight section of road that runs through a rural part of New Hampshire, and for much of the drive, trees line the highway making it quite the sight in autumn. Ponds, such as Mount William Pond, can be seen from the road as well as an offshoot from the Piscataquog River that passes under the road.
