SR 150, the Highland Scenic Highway, is one of the most rewarding scenic drives in the Mountain State. This short hop is a great day trip; the views of unspoiled wilderness are lovely in summer but truly breathtaking during fall foliage season. From the SR 39/55 junction SR 150 begins climbing into the Allegheny Highlands, reaching an elevation of more than 4,500 feet. Four designated overlooks along the way offer terrific vistas. The view crossing the Williams River Bridge is also exceptional. East of the bridge, the Honeycomb Rocks Trail is an easy loop hike that passes unusual rock formations.
