Letchworth State Park Road is a winding, two-lane byway through a forest of maple, hickory, hemlock and beech trees on the western side of New York's Genesee River. The steep, rocky cliffs and ravines surrounding the river create a truly magnificent sight best viewed from the park's many trails and overlooks.

Within Letchworth State Park the Genesee River rushes through a gorge with vertical walls soaring 550 feet in places and tumbles over three beautiful waterfalls, including one more than a hundred feet high. Trailheads lining the park road allow access to a network of more than 60 miles of trails offering fantastic views of the gorge, river and falls.
