The meandering byway (SR 374) zigzags through valleys, past massive sandstone outcroppings and vistas of distant mountains, ravines and gorges blanketed in greenery. As you pass through noncontiguous Hocking Hills State Park sites, towering birch and hemlock trees meet at the edge of the road. The park is famous for its recess caves, cascading waterfalls and splash pools.
