Road Trip

View on Map
47.8 miles: 1 hours, 7 minutes
PR 510 cuts through a sparsely populated, mostly untouched portion of Canada filled with lush forests, rivers and spectacular coastal views. Portions of the road are loose gravel and can be difficult to navigate, especially in winter, so it is wise to use a four-wheel drive vehicle. Phone (709) 896-7888 for road conditions.

Stark barren hills and rocky formations broken up by thick forest dominate the mountain gorge scenery along PR 510. There are also great views of the Strait of Belle Isle where icebergs are not an uncommon sight, and also along the byway is the Point Amour Lighthouse, one of the tallest and oldest in Canada.
