An autumn trip along the Frontenac Provincial Park Scenic Drive (PR 10) harvests a bounty of pumpkin, maize and apple-red leaves. Combined with views of smooth-as-glass Buck and Devil lakes tucked amid evergreen pines, the route delivers a stunning portrait of the season.
On this byway, take in dense, unspoiled stands of pines, willows and deciduous trees interspersed with myriad lakes, ponds and red rock cliffs. Pristine Buck Lake, dotted with tiny islands, stretches for miles. In September and October, sugar maples slip out of their cool emerald coats and dazzle visitors with fiery hues.
