The idea to create a boutique hotel from a historic candy factory was genius. I believe they have done a remarkable job of mixing luxury with history.
AAA Inspector Notes
Guest rooms have a well-coordinated design that includes custom furnishings with soft-close drawers, pillow-top beds, high-thread-count linens and custom light fixtures with ambience features. This hotel was built in 1898 and operated as a candy factory for 35 years. Thoughtfully renovated, the hotel offers patrons a truly one-of-a-kind luxury experience. The name is French for "charming," and guests will surely agree it is that and more. Upon arrival, everyone is offered chocolates and may casually view the many artifacts and memorabilia from the era when the candy factory was in operation. Bathrooms offer fine Lefroy Brooks fixtures, Italian marble, custom flooring and New York-based C.O. Bigelow bath products in lavender and peppermint. The hotel is located in the downtown district, close to many shops, dining, a park and the river walk. Smoke free premises. 67 units. 5 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).
