Fort Simcoe State Park

Fort Simcoe State Park is 7 mi. w. of White Swan, following signs to 5150 Fort Simcoe Rd. It was one of two interior Washington Territory army posts established as a result of hostilities between settlers and the Yakama Nation in the fall of 1856. Two blockhouses, a guardhouse and barracks are replicated. Officers Row includes four original houses and a blockhouse.
