Port Townsend Marine Science Center is in Fort Worden State Park at 532 Battery Way. The center has two exhibit buildings. The Marine Science Exhibit on the pier features touch pools displaying local marine life. The Natural History Exhibit on the shore showcases beach rocks, marine animal fossils and sand from around the world; the Learning from Orcas—the Story of Hope exhibit follows the life of a highly contaminated transient orca whale. Daily guided walks and interpretive programs are offered in the summer.
