Fredericksburg National Cemetery

Fredericksburg National Cemetery is on Lafayette Blvd. (US 1) atop Marye’s Heights. More than 15,000 U.S. veterans are buried here, the majority of whom are Union soldiers who died in the nearby battles of Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania Court House and the Wilderness. More than 80 percent of the soldiers are unknown. The Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center keeps a record of identified soldiers.

Pets are not permitted in the cemetery.
