Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site

Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site is 2 mi. e. on US 290 at 199 Park Rd. 52. At the state park visitor center complex, memorabilia chronicle Johnson's life and Texas Hill Country history. The 717.9-acre site includes the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm, restored dog-run cabins, nature trails and picnic facilities. Some of the Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd reside here as well as bison, white-tailed deer and wild turkeys. .
