Johnson City District

Johnson City District is 2 blks. s. of US 290 on E. Lady Bird Ln. Lyndon Johnson's boyhood home is furnished in period, reflecting rural Texas life in the 1920s. Also within the district is the Johnson Settlement, which features a log cabin, barns, cooler house and windmill built by Johnson's grandfather in the 1860s, a visitor's center with exhibits detailing the local cattle business and Johnson's family history, an original chuckwagon and longhorn cattle.
