Presidio La Bahía

Presidio La Bahía is 2 mi. s. on US 77A/183. The fortification was established in 1749 to protect Mission Espíritu Santo de Zuniga. Its chapel still is used for services. A museum shows articles found during restoration efforts indicating nine previous levels of civilization at this site.
