Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine

Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine (Sanctuaire Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré), between av. Royale and boul. Ste-Anne (Hwy. 138), was built in 1923. It contains the Miraculous Statue of St. Anne and related relics. The basilica's architecture has neo-Romanesque features. On avenue Royale near the site of the first chapel, is the Memorial Chapel, remodeled in 1878.

Next to the chapel is the Scala Santa, a replica of the 28 steps Jesus ascended to meet Pontius Pilate. Fourteen life-size bronze statues depicting the stations of the cross are on the hillside.
