McNary Lock and Dam

McNary Lock and Dam is 1 mi. e. of jct. I-82 and US 730. The dam is part of the vast inland waterway system of the Columbia and Snake rivers. Of interest are the Pacific Salmon Visitor Information Center, locks, fish ladder, fish viewing room, powerhouse and nature trail. A boat ramp is available; fishing is permitted. The visitor center offers audiovisual programs and talks on salmon and hydropower.

Note: Photo ID is required for the powerhouse; cameras and bags are not permitted in the powerhouse.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
