“Unto These Hills”

“Unto These Hills” is .5 mi. n. on US 441N to 564 Tsali Blvd. This 2-hour historical drama about the Cherokee takes place in the outdoor Mountainside Theatre. The play, first presented in 1950, covers the period from the arrival of Hernando de Soto in 1540 through the tragic Trail of Tears in 1839. Some descendants of tribal members who lived the story appear in principal roles.

Designed for a young audience, the Cherokee Little Theater performance series teaches children and families about Cherokee legends.
