Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate is off SR 119; tours depart from Philipsburg Manor on US 9 . Home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, Kykuit, meaning lookout, is on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River. Built in 1913 under the supervision of John D. Rockefeller's son Junior, the stone mansion is appointed with antiques, fine art and family memorabilia. The fine art collection includes paintings from the mid-20th century.

Fountains and a collection of 20th-century sculpture featuring artists Alexander Calder, Louise Nevelson and Pablo Picasso accent the terraced and formal gardens, while Picasso tapestries are shown in underground art galleries. The coach barn contains vintage automobiles and carriages.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours, 30 minutes minimum.
