Onondaga Cave State Park

Onondaga Cave State Park is 5 mi. s. on SR H to 7556 SR H. One of the largest lighted caves in Missouri, Onondaga features formations ranging from lacy patterns to massive pieces of onyx. The temperature is always 57 F. Concrete walks wind through the interior. Park staff give weekend kerosene lantern tours of nearby Cathedral Cave, which features a large column of flowstone, wind-bent stalactites and fossilized beds of algae known as stromatolites.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
