Silver Beach Amusement Park Museum

Silver Beach Amusement Park Museum, 333 Broad St., recalls the glory days of St. Joseph's Silver Beach Amusement Park, which was a resort destination frequented in great numbers by Chicagoans in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Photographs showcase the appeal of this spot on Lake Michigan. The restored 1910 carousel, featuring 48 hand-carved animals and two chariots, is a highlight.
