Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is off I-10 on Causeway Blvd. The world's longest overwater highway bridge crosses 24 miles of open water, taking passengers out of sight of land for 8 miles. The bridge supports a four-lane divided highway with a drawbridge at mile marker 16 to accommodate ships.
