The Indiana Historical Society

The Indiana Historical Society is at 450 W. Ohio St. in the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. The society was founded in 1830 to promote and preserve the Hoosier State's heritage. Inside are interactive exhibits, educational programs and a research library that contains more than two million images, rare books, manuscripts and maps relating to the history of Indiana and the Old Northwest.
