Kalahaku Overlook, 2 mi. below the Haleakalā Visitor Center in Haleakalā National Park, is at an elevation of 9,324 feet and affords panoramas of the valley’s cinder cones. Protected by a rock wall, some rare ‘āhinahina (silverswords) grow just below the parking area.
